During a spincasting operation, a resin or epoxy mixture is applied to a flexible liner, typically made of a durable material such as felt or fiberglass. The liner is then inserted into the existing pipe or the prepared trench. Next, a device known as a “spincaster” is used to rotate the liner, evenly distributing the resin and ensuring proper adhesion to the inside of the existing pipe or trench walls.
As the liner rotates, the resin cures and hardens, creating a new pipe within the existing one. This method effectively rehabilitates old or damaged pipes by providing a durable lining that restores the structural integrity and functionality of the pipeline. Spincasting can be used for various types of pipes, including sewer pipes, drainage pipes, and stormwater pipes.
