CAST IRON PIPE REPAIR

SOVENT SYSTEMS
The Sovent system is a patented single-stack drainage system that substantially improves the performance of a soil and waste drainage systems and allows the drain, waste and venting to be accomplished through a single stack.
EPOXY PIPE COATING
During a spincasting operation, a resin or epoxy mixture is applied to a flexible liner, typically made of a durable material such as felt or fiberglass. The liner is then inserted into the existing pipe or the prepared trench. Next, a device known as a “spincaster” is used to rotate the liner, evenly distributing the resin and ensuring proper adhesion to the inside of the existing pipe or trench walls.
PIPE EVALUATIONS
We perform pipe evaluations using advanced camera inspection equipment to assess the internal condition of your existing piping system. The camera is then guided through the line to capture real-time footage, exposing cracks, root intrusion, corrosion, offsets, or blockages that may be affecting performance. Next, the findings are reviewed to accurately diagnose the issue and determine the most effective repair or rehabilitation solution.

We relined a damaged 24-inch industrial drain that was taking in sand and rock.
The corrugated-metal line carried storm and process water. Holes in its deteriorated wall were letting rock and sand into the drain, so we adapted our preparation to the condition of the host pipe before we lined it.

We staged access and prepared the deteriorated pipe for lining.

We accessed, inspected, cleaned and reinspected 40 sanitary risers in the phase completed in March 2015.
We camera-inspected and mechanically cleaned 16 Sovent risers and their base pressure-relief lines, collecting the debris with an industrial vacuum.
We reviewed the blueprints, inspected the pipes and set a work plan, then cleaned and reinspected ten kitchen and bathroom Sovent stacks. The customer's May 2015 letter reports the stacks were cleaned in two weeks and the work was examined by W.J. Johnson Engineering.
We cleaned and reinspected 44 kitchen, bathroom and laundry risers across the four towers.
We inspected, cleaned and reinspected 38 sanitary risers, then cleaned and lined the overhead first-floor garage piping down to the slab.

We camera-inspected and cleaned the line at a deteriorated cast-iron fitting, repaired it with a cured-in-place liner and confirmed the repair with a final camera inspection.
We accessed, inspected, cleaned and reinspected three sanitary risers in the November 2015 phase.
